Atlanta Day 2

Wow! What a fun day we've had. We can tell you your children are sleeping well tonight! The weather could not have been more perfect for us and we have been super busy. It has been great. We started our day at Fernbrook Museum. The kids explored the many exhibits of the museum and especially loved the poison exhibit and show. The kids also shared with museum staff our JBE alma mater. Please check out the youtube video of them signing at the museum.
Next we enjoyed a fantastic Braves game. Unfortunately the Braves didn't pull off a victory, but it didn't stop our fun.
After the Braves game, we went to Ebenezar Baptist Church, the home church of Martin Luther King, Jr. We listened to a speech from Mr. King as well as heard an old spiritual. We also visited the eternal flame, tomb and reflection pool of Mr. King and his wife.
We then had a great pizza meal.
Finally we ended our night with a fantastic non competitive bowling game. It was so much fun watching how well your children get along and how much fun they can have with each other.
The night ended with an impromptu dance party. :0)
We have had a great day and look forward to what tomorrow will bring.

Atlanta-Day 1 2015.....We're having a blast

Day one Today was an incredible blast. We had a rainy drive to Atlanta this morning but as soon as we entered Atlanta, the sky opened to reveal a beautiful sunshine and we've had great weather all day long. Cross your fingers that this continues as we have the Braves game tomorrow. We began our day at the Georgia Aquarium. The kids loved seeing all the animals, especially the penguins.
Next we went to the CNN building. We had lunch in the CNN building where the kids were able to choose from several different restaurants to each lunch.
We rode the world's tallest escalator, toured the CNN building, saw where HLN is broadcast, watched live CNN, and learned the hows behind news production.
We then went to World of Coke. At the World of Coke, we watched a fabulous movie, learned parts of the secret coke formula, learned the history and evolution of the Coke products, enjoyed an entertaining 4D movie, and (the kids favorite part) had a testing of 100s of cokes from around the world (ask your student if they tried the BEVERLY).
We ended our evening of activities at Dave and Busters. This was a great evening of food, games, and fun. The students are all snug in their beds sound asleep (and all the chaperones soon will be also). We have a busy busy day ahead of us tomorrow.
